Privileged
Having dealt with grief and loss I also recognise the all-encompassing effect this has on people’s lives. I have a solid understanding of the challenges facing families generally, I’ve seen the added challenges faced by those raising children with additional needs, and care deeply about easing the emotional stresses faced in caring for someone with disability. I consider it an honour to be trusted to sit with someone in their life story. I take this privilege seriously.
Head
A healthy mind is vital for emotional and psychological wellbeing. Our thoughts are naturally controlled by logic, interpretation, perspective and our objective understanding of a situation.
Heart
Humans are conditioned by prior experiences. Pain, suffering and trauma challenge us emotionally. When our emotions are big we might struggle to achieve a subjective assessment/evaluation.
Harmony
So, what when our logic is not aligned with what we’re feeling? Sometimes we need to adjust our thinking, and the prism through which we see the world. Getting this objectivity and subjectivity back in balance allows you to move forward.
Your story
Every session, every client brings a new story and learning experience. I don’t have all the answers, but am here to listen, non-judgementally, and together we can explore your options and best way forward. In this constantly pivoting environment I will always grow in my learning, and never settle into a place where I feel I have all the answers.
A little more about me
Above all, I’m a wife and a mother. I love cooking, and baking – particularly making and decorating wedding cakes. The world is a wonderful place, and I love to travel – I will never reach the end of my travel bucket list. People fill my cup – I never say no to a social get-together. My age? Well, without giving away secrets – let’s just say I have decades of life experience!
“You have been amazing to partner with in finding the best solutions for ... We felt lost until we found you.”
